Sergey Krusher Kovalev cut a fearsome path through the Light Heavyweight division, using his strong hands and mean streak to dominate opponents and becomes the clear king at 175 pounds. Ward took a decision win over Kovalev last November in a fight most felt Kovalev should have won, then stopped the Russian in a rematch in June, though again, many felt it was unjustified due to possible low blows in the finish.
